Sebastian Priaulx will race outside of Europe for the first time in his career this week (10/11 October) as he heads stateside to make his debut in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with Multimatic Motorsports.
Competing with the same team with whom he enjoyed a record-breaking British GT Championship campaign this year, the Guernseyman will be racing in familiar machinery as well as he gets behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang GT4 once again.
The venue will be new territory for the 18 year old as he visits the world-famous Road Atlanta circuit in Atlanta, Georgia, while he will share his Mustang with a new team-mate in NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Austin Cindric.
Priaulx will be competing in support of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season finale event the ‘Petit Le Mans’, a race his father Andy Priaulx contested on five occasions between 2009 and 2015.
Sebastian Priaulx: “I can’t wait for Road Atlanta. To end a fantastic first season in GT competition with my first international race event is awesome and I can’t thank Larry Holt and Multimatic Motorsports enough for giving me this opportunity.
“It’s an exciting challenge for me to tackle a new championship and a new circuit. I have heard lots about the circuit and got a few tips from my Dad, while racing alongside the Ford NASCAR drivers is going to be fun. I hope I can do a great job for everyone at Multimatic.”
